Poems While You Wait

18-10-2026

We went walking to Parliament Hill with our friends. Up there on the top was a guy with a ukulele and a typewriter. And a sign that said Poems while you wait.

Well, I couldn’t resist that. So I asked him to make a poem about my wife. And this is what he typed out while we waited.

Blossom Rani

sounds like
our names used to say something.
deep and deeply single
of how we move in the world.
I am met head on and full on
by a man here who does declare
that he wants of me a few words to describe
how beautiful you are,
And how he moved
toward me I am
brought in touch with
a deep and solid ride,
like an antler,
as he shares with me his love for you,
for a moment Blossom Rani,
and like an antler,
and like the blossoms,
then it grows back every year.

He verbally confirmed that my donation effected the transfer of all rights in perpetuity to myself.
